Located on the equator in Kenya, Tembokanga Tours and Education Ventures operates in the heart of the Rift Valley, providing its guests with unique, one-of-a-kind nature and cultural experiences, while donating 10% of all profits to America-Kenya Connections, a nonprofit organization working in Kenya to enhance sustainable economic development, aid community projects and address environmental concerns.

Some of the causes supported by America-Kenya Connections include reforestation efforts, solar energy initiatives, installation of biogas units, aid for orphanages, wildlife conservation, clean water and health programs, educational enrichment, athletic training, recycling efforts, and various other projects that support Kenyans in need. America-Kenya Connections was co-founded by the owners of Tembokanga Tours and Education Ventures to help make a difference in the lives of Kenyans, as well as to reduce the ecological footprint of its company operations.

What We Do

Tembokanga Tours will take you from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, through the Great Rift Valley and across the Equator. You’ll visit the premier national parks in tropical Kenya, including world famous Amboseli National Park, Mt. Kenya NP, Tsavo West/East NPs, and the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Taken together, Kenya’s impressive network of savanna ecosystems, highland and rain forests, Rift Valley lakes, Indian Ocean coastline, and dry scrub habitat is home to perhaps the most fantastic display of wildlife found anywhere on planet Earth.

Tembokanga Tours may also take you to the world-renowned Tanzanian safari destinations of Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater NP, Olduvai Gorge and Mt. Kilimanjaro NP.

With a special add-on to your safari itinerary, you can visit the unique Indian Ocean island destination of Madagascar where you’ll encounter species found nowhere else in the world, including the beautiful lemurs of Madagascar.

All Tembokanga Tours will offer amazing wildlife viewing, and photographing opportunities, of the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhinoceros, leopard and Cape buffalo), as well as hippopotamus, crocodile, cheetah, hyena, gazelle, monkey, baboon and numerous other species of mammals, birds, reptiles and insects. You will also observe endemic tropical flora during your travels, including the mighty baobab tree, beautiful yellow-barked acacia, and succulent aloe. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to explore Kenya’s Indian Ocean coastline, as well as Kenya’s unique culture and history.
